4.16.20 – “Convos on the Couch” – featuring Raki Pai, M.D.

The Rotary Club Board and the Executive Committee have been closely monitoring developments relating to the spread of COVID-19 and in response to that we have canceled our weekly luncheons through April 30th.
This week’s “Convos on the Couch” ZOOM meeting will be featuring Raki Pai, MD, MBA, Executive Vice President, Medical Group President, Chief Population Health Officer, Metro-Health – University of Michigan Health. Dr. Pai will give an update on the COVID-19 outbreak and the future of health care including digital health. He will also take questions submitted through the chat function.
Dr. Pai is a physician executive and innovator in payor contracting, value-based care and medical group governance. Experienced perspectives on medicine, from the physician side as well as payor side. An accomplished cardiologist familiar with patient care in cardiac electrophysiology and cardiovascular medicine; also has served in senior leadership, including at the largest nonprofit health plan in the Pacific Northwest. Through leadership of multidisciplinary cross-functional teams, has developed pilot programs and initiatives to improve affordability and quality. Supports innovative approaches to develop improved patient outcomes and population health management. A fellow with the American College of Cardiology (FACC); served on the Board of Trustees for the Oregon Medical Association; recipient of John F. Koster MD Physician Leadership Award, Providence Health & Services.
