

COMMITTEES
Club 77
Build stronger connections beyond the weekly meeting. Club 77 identifies venues and member organizations to host gatherings that combine a short program with networking and fellowship. These events give Rotarians opportunities to learn about one another’s work, welcome new connections, and strengthen friendships throughout the club.
Community Engagement
Put Service Above Self into action right here in our community. The Community Engagement Committee identifies meaningful volunteer opportunities that connect Rotarians with local needs. By encouraging hands-on participation and raising awareness of our service, the committee helps members contribute their time and talents where they can make a difference.
Executive Committee
Provide continuity and direction for the club’s day-to-day operations. Comprised of the club’s officers, the Executive Committee helps maintain consistent policies, procedures, and leadership practices. Its work supports effective coordination and helps keep the club focused on its responsibilities, priorities, and service mission.
Finance Committee
Support responsible stewardship of the club’s financial resources. The Finance Committee develops the annual operating budget and reviews monthly financial reports for accuracy and clarity. Its work helps club leadership make informed decisions and align available resources with the activities and priorities that serve our members and community.
IDEA Committee
Help create a club where people feel welcome, respected, and able to participate. The IDEA Committee champions inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility throughout the membership experience. Its focus is on fostering a culture of belonging and identifying opportunities to make participation in Rotary more inclusive and accessible.
Interact Club
Introduce young people to the possibilities of service and leadership through Rotary. Working with local high schools, the Interact Club Committee engages juniors and seniors in opportunities to connect with Rotary’s values, explore leadership, and contribute to their communities. Members help encourage the next generation of service-minded leaders.
International Foundation
Connect our club with Rotary’s worldwide philanthropic mission. The International Foundation Committee supports Rotary International’s charitable endeavors and helps members understand the importance of that work. Its focus is on encouraging awareness and support for the broader impact Rotarians can achieve together.
Invocation
Set a thoughtful and welcoming tone for our time together. The Invocation Committee offers a brief reflection or message of inspiration before club luncheons and other gatherings. These moments encourage gratitude, fellowship, and a shared commitment to service while respecting the varied beliefs and perspectives of our members.
Legacy Care Committee
Keep fellowship at the heart of Rotary by supporting our legacy members during times of need. The Legacy Care Committee helps maintain meaningful connections and offers thoughtful encouragement when members face challenges. Its work reflects the importance of caring for the people whose participation and service have helped shape our club.
Membership
Help people discover Rotary—and find lasting value in belonging. The Membership Committee supports the recruitment and retention of members, helping strengthen the club’s community of service-minded individuals. Its work focuses on attracting prospective members, encouraging meaningful connections, and supporting an engaging membership experience.
Music
Bring members together through the shared experience of music. The Music Committee selects and leads the opening song at Rotary meetings, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere and a sense of fellowship. This simple tradition adds energy and connection to our gatherings.
Podcast
Share the voices and stories of Grand Rapids Rotary. The Podcast Committee creates and curates the Unplugged Grand Rapids Rotary Podcast, providing another way for people to connect with the club. Its work brings conversations to life and extends the reach of Rotary’s stories beyond the meeting room.
Programming
Make weekly luncheons a valuable opportunity to learn and connect. The Programming Committee identifies speakers who bring useful, educational, and informative content to the club. By developing engaging programs, the committee encourages curiosity, broadens perspectives, and gives members meaningful ideas to take into their work and community life.
Public Image Committee
Help our community understand who we are and what Rotary makes possible. The Public Image Committee works to present a clear, consistent club message across the website, social media, and other communications. Its efforts highlight our activities and service while helping people discover opportunities to connect with Rotary.

STRIVE
Help young people recognize their potential and take positive steps toward their futures. STRIVE is a mentoring program for high school juniors and seniors focused on improving their educational progress and life prospects. Through encouragement and meaningful connections, the program supports students as they work toward their goals.
World Community Service
Extend our commitment to service across borders. The World Community Service Committee helps develop and implement educational, humanitarian, and vocational service projects with an international impact. Its work connects the club’s willingness to serve with opportunities to support communities around the world.
Youth Exchange Program
