Anne Cusack has a passion for public policy. As the Associate Director of Urban Initiatives for Governor Snyder, she coordinates policy initiatives and projects that promote the health of urban and metropolitan areas in West Michigan. This ranges from economic development and public safety to affordable housing and vibrant rivers.
She is an elected Commissioner of the Grand Rapids Public Library and the former chair of the Michigan Commission on Community Action and Economic Opportunity. She and her husband, Tim, own Laughter That Matters, a training company that helps organizations manage the human side of business.
In the past Anne has worked as a policy advisor for Governor Engler, an administrator at the Michigan Department of Community Health, and as Vice President for VHA/Midnet where she facilitated strategic planning and market analysis for Michigan hospitals.
Anne home-schooled her two children; one in high school and one at the University of Michigan. She graduated from Yale and has a Masters of Public Health from the University of Michigan. She loves baseball, walking, reading and needlepoint.
