Beckering III is an assistant U.S. attorney for the Western District of Michigan\, where he has served as the criminal health care fraud coordinator since 2006. \nHe previously prosecuted drug trafficking cases. Before joining the Department of Justice\, Mr. Beckering was a criminal defense attorney handling a variety of state and federal matters including health care fraud. \nHe received both his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Michigan.
