DESCRIPTION:Phil Catlett is the President and CEO of the Better Business Bureau Serving Western Michigan. \nThe BBB has served West Michigan for 83 years\, covering 38 counties from the Indiana border to the Mackinac Bridge\, including Kalamazoo\, Grand Rapids\, and Traverse City. \nBBB builds trust in West Michigan businesses and non-profit organizations. The team of 29 employees and some volunteers help consumers and businesses with dispute resolution\, consumer education\, business and non-profit reporting at bbb.org\, and much more. \nBBB’s Foundation provides consumer\, student\, business\, and non-profit education programs\, and its Charity Review Program provides transparency for donors of area charities. \nPrior to BBB\, Phil spent a majority of his career as Vice-President and General Manager of local radio stations including WLHT\, WGRD\, and The River.    Phil’s community involvement has included leadership positions with many non-profit service organizations\, including the Salvation Army\, Walker Charter Academy\, the YMCA\, Rotary\, Central Michigan University\, and Shawnee Park Christian Reformed Church. \n  \nPhil and his wife Caroll live in Plainfield Township\, and are fortunate enough to have their two children and their spouses and five grandchildren living nearby.

SUMMARY:10.15.20 - Mike Jandernoa
DESCRIPTION:Mike Jandernoa was CEO of Perrigo Company from 1988 to 2000\, Chairman of the Board from 1991 to 2003\, and continues to serve on the Board of Directors.  Perrigo is a leading global healthcare supplier that develops\, manufactures\, and distributes over-the-counter (OTC) and generic prescription (Rx) pharmaceuticals. \nMike is a graduate of the University of Michigan and was a CPA\, having worked at BDO Seidman for seven years prior to joining Perrigo in 1979.  Hired by Perrigo as CFO\, Mike was promoted to EVP of Sales and Finance in 1981\, appointed President in January 1983\, and became CEO in 1988.  He was promoted to Chairman of the Board and CEO in November 1991\, a position he held until May of 2000.  During his career at Perrigo\, Mike helped lead two LBO’s in 1981 and 1988 and the IPO in 1991. \nIn addition to his service on Perrigo’s Board of Directors\, he also serves on the Board of Directors of Business Leaders for Michigan (BLM)\, the Van Andel Institute\, Hopen Life Science Fund\, Metabolic Solutions Development Company (MSDC)\, the University of Michigan President’s Advisory Board\, Grand Valley University Foundation\, and Gerald R. Ford Presidential Foundation.  Mike is a member of other corporate advisory boards and is a past member of the Young Presidents’ Organization.  Mike also serves/chairs on numerous religious and community boards and committees as well. \nIn addition\, Mike is the founder of Jandernoa Entrepreneurial Mentoring.  He is a co-founder of Bridge Street Capital Partners\, lead investor and Board member of Hopen Life Science Fund\, and co-founder of Grand Angels.  Mike is the founder and Chairman of 42 North Partners\, a family office focusing on investments\, entrepreneurship\, and community.

SUMMARY:10.22.20 - Christina Keller
DESCRIPTION:Christina Keller is the President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the Cascade Engineering Family of Companies and a member of the board of directors. She assumed this position on September 1\, 2018. Cascade Engineering is a family owned private business founded by her father\, Fred Keller in 1973. As President and Chief Executive Officer for the Family of Companies\, Christina is responsible for ensuring that Cascade Engineering continues its dedication to the community\, accomplishes its purpose of being a Triple Bottom Line company and develops and executes Cascade’s strategic direction. \nMost recently Christina served as President for the Cascade Business Team (CBT) from 2016 – 2018\, overseeing five of Cascade’s nine businesses. These businesses included; Automotive Americas\, Cascade Cart Solutions\, Innovative Plastic Technologies\, Noble Polymers and Decade Products. Christina also led the strategic integration of all Cascade Engineering’s North American operations\, creating an alignment through best practices and standardized work to maximize operational\, financial and human resources. \nIn 2013\, Christina was named President of CK Technologies (CKT). CKT is the largest CE business unit headquartered in Montpelier\, OH\, with additional facilities in Mount Airy\, NC\, Brownsville and Grand Prairie\, Texas.  CKT manufactures large plastic exterior body components for large trucks. Parts include bumper systems\, grills\, chassis and roof fairings used on class 8 tractors. CKT offers over 10\,000 colors with parts painted in-line sequence. Christina was also selected to participate as a member of Navistar’s supplier council. During her tenure CKT recorded two consecutive years of record revenue. \nChristina has held a number of leadership positions of increasing responsibility since joining Cascade in 2009. From 2010 – 2013 she was the business unit leader for Triple Quest\, which produced and distributed the HydraidÒ filter. A simple\, low-tech bio-sand water filter that requires no maintenance – as a reliable means to deliver clean water. Over 75\,000 HydraidÒ filters were distributed to 46 countries before the business was acquired by Native Energy in 2015. CE still manufactures the filter housing for Native Energy. \nPrevious to joining Cascade Engineering\, Keller lived in New York\, NY employed as a manager at Polaris Management Partners. Christina received her MBA from the SC Johnson College of Business in 2007 and also holds a BA from Boston College. She has accreditation in Economics from American University and a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt from Villanova University. \nChristina is a member of the board of directors for Independent Bank (IBCP). Serves on the board of trustees and is the former chair at the Grand Rapids Community Foundation. Keller is a member of the Grand Angels investment group as well as being active in the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) and the Family Business Alliance (FBA). Christina was recognized in Plastics News as a “Rising Star” and the Grand Rapids Business Journal has twice named her as a “40 under 40” business leader to watch. Christina resides in Ada\, Michigan with her husband Andy and their two children Aspen and Jackson. \n

SUMMARY:10.29.20 - Sara Lowe
DESCRIPTION:Sara provides mission based\, collaborative leadership to Emmanuel Hospice in her role as Executive Director of Emmanuel Hospice. She has over fifteen years of health care experience working in both Hospice and Long-Term Care. Sara has served patients in a variety of settings\, as well as provided leadership and education regarding end-of-life issues to healthcare staff and the community. In addition\, she has collaborated with community organizations on initiatives to improve the quality of healthcare across the continuum in our community. \nSara serves on the Making Choices Michigan Steering Committee\, is the Co-Chair of the Michigan Home Care and Hospice Public Policy Committee\, a member of the Interfaith Service Council of the Kaufmann Interfaith Institute\, President of the Northview Community Swim Team and has previously served as a Board Member of HIV/AIDS Services (Now the Red Project). \nSara earned her BSW and MSW from Grand Valley State University where she served as President of the BSW Student Organization and studied abroad in Durban South Africa at University of Natal completing a service learning project at an HIV/AIDS clinic. \nSara has called West Michigan home for her entire life growing up in Zeeland Michigan where she lived with her parents Mike and Kathy Torrey and her sister Kristin Torrey. \nShe currently lives in Northeast Grand Rapids with her husband Elliott (married 14 years) and their two children\, Avery (10) and Hudson (8). As a family they are active in the Northview Community and in their faith community of Trinity United Methodist Church. \n  \n
