Jennifer Feuerstein Associate State Director
Jennifer Feuerstein is a community organizer, activist, spokesperson, and writer on issues related to older adults and the encore years.
She currently is Associate State Director for AARP Michigan and travels across the state advocating on behalf of the 1.4 million AARP members in Michigan.
With a degree in broadcasting and journalism, she brings her geriatric expertise to TV and print as well. She is a Crew Member for WOTV 4 Women as the on-air expert for the encore years and has written for various magazines and publications on topics related to the senior population and is writing her first book—a witty take on growing old.
She speaks out against ageism and the negative views people hold of growing older and helps people to embrace that getting older (and getting your AARP membership card) is nothing to fear.
She is actively involved in West Michigan as a Regional Council Member for Inforum; a Power of 100 Women with Michigan Women Forward; a member of the City of Grand Rapids’ Complete Count Census Committee; a member of the City of Grand Rapids’ Equitable Economic Development Strategic Planning Committee; on the Mayor’s Council for Age Friendly Grand Rapids and a board member with Designed Future. And of course, a member of Rotary Club GR.
She is a life-long Grand Rapids resident and away from the office she devotes herself to her 3 kids, traveling and is an avid reader over a cup of bold tea.
