The March 21 meeting was a collection of committee reports to remind all of us the great work Rotary does. We got updates on the two annual $100 Requests Grand Rapids Rotarians get, for the Grand Rapids Rotary Charities Foundation, And the Rotary International Foundation . Jim White explained it started in 1989 with $2,800 and today is worth more than $1 million. Our primary beneficiaries are Indian Trails Camp and the STRIVE program. In addition to the annual contribution request, our upcoming Service Above Self Dinner, honoring our own Jackie Taylor, is our primary fund raiser. Call the Rotary office today to get your tickets!
Club 77 is our Club’s monthly evening and social event which has become very popular. Our next event, May 2 at the Grand Rapids Yacht Club, will also be a member recruitment event, so bring your friends to check out Rotary!
